Free Sample: Strange Animal Behaviours (B1)
This sample is taken from Theme 01: Animals & Conservation and represents a complete Perspicacity module.
It includes:
- a teacher–student PDF (teacher notes + student handout)
- a 3-slide PowerPoint showing the Perspicacity lesson flow
What this sample demonstrates
- how a 25–30 minute Perspicacity module is structured
- how language learning and critical thinking are integrated
- how little preparation is required
- how students are supported to speak clearly and confidently
Who it’s for
- B1 learners (CEFR)
- Ages 9–13
- ESL / EFL classrooms
No specialist knowledge of animals or science is needed.
How to use the sample
- Open the PowerPoint and show Slide 1 to introduce the task
- Use Slides 2–3 to model the target language
- Give students the handout and run the discussion
The focus is on spoken language, not “right answers”.
